Tree Stump Grinding and Removal
We grind stumps down below ground level and remove what is left, so the area is usable again.
A stump left in the yard gets in the way of the mower, collects water and gives pests a place to live. Sprouts also keep coming up from the roots. Grinding is the practical fix, and it leaves the area ready for grass, mulch or a new planting. We grind the stump down below the surface, working into the larger roots near the base. What is left is wood chips mixed with soil. We can leave the chips in the hole to settle, or remove them and fill the spot with soil, depending on what you plan to put there. Tell us if you want to seed grass, plant a new tree or set a patio, and we will grind accordingly. We often grind stumps after a removal, but we can also come out for stumps from trees someone else cut. We offer same day estimates and service, and quotes are free with no obligation. Common questions
What happens to the wood chips?
We can leave them in the hole to break down, spread them, or haul them off and fill the spot with soil. Just tell us what you plan to do there.
Can I plant grass or a new tree where the stump was?
Yes. Once the stump is ground below the surface and the chips are cleared or covered with soil, the area is ready for seed or a new planting.
Do you grind stumps from trees you did not cut?
Yes. Stumps from older removals or another company's work are fine. Call 513-759-5525 for a free quote.
